Stains, Fabrics and Garment Care

The safest thing to do with a stain is to bring it to us untreated. Home remedies can set the stain or damage the fabric.

Should I Try to Remove a Stain at Home?

We recommend against it. Our cleaners remove stains with the fabric, its colorfastness and the cause of the stain in mind, which is how a stain comes out without harming the garment. Tell us what caused it if you know.

Does Dry Cleaning Wear Out Clothes?

No. When a garment is washed in water, the yarns swell and take more agitation. That does not happen in dry cleaning, so it helps the garment last longer.

Why Do Shirt Collars and Cuffs Pucker?

Sometimes a manufacturer uses an interfacing that is not compatible with the shirt fabric. The two shrink differently, which causes puckering.

How Do You Know How to Clean Each Fabric?

We clean every garment according to its care label. Each order also goes through a multi-point inspection that starts with spot treating and stain removal, and we replace cracked buttons and tighten loose threads at no charge.

Why Are There Barcodes on My Clothes?

Barcodes let us track each piece through our production system so your items do not go missing.
